Ghibli Cake by thanxforthefish Ghibli Cake by thanxforthefish
Birthday cake filled with Studio Ghibli references. Though I have to say, I got terribly sick of it towards the end, which is why they become rather awful towards the right. And why I also missed out many films. :noes:

A sprinkle-topped point for every film you identify, not to mention an extra scoop of ice cream for each of the last few on the right. :la:

Oh, and the cake's sponge, with whipped cream and jam, if you're wondering. Because that's all I ever make. ^^

I think I need new candles.

The green thing and "mouse" weren't the most accurately made ^^; It's meant to be a bucket (Ponyo) and necklace (Laputa).

I know the broom is Kiki's, and the little white creature is from Totoro, the blade with the red designs is from Princess Mononoke, and the black creature was... uh,...a little ball of ash, I want to say? The cake itself is Howl's cloak! (Extremely clever, that one!)

Oooh well done there. Ah well, yes it is supposed to be a sootball and a star, as in Spirited Away, despite them not being round balls... :paranoid: Thank you, Howl's coat is the part I'm most happy with. :D

Who needs other flavours when the only one you can make is the best. I got a book in my stocking this year on making zombie themed cupcakes. Very cool and creepy but means I'm finally going to have to go hunting for fondant.:D This is awesome by the way. Linking it to my sister who's the biggest Ghibli fan ever. But I'm going to try and guess as many as I can now.

Princess Monoke (did I spell that right, the knife), Kiki's Delivery Service (the broom and the bow), Howl's Moving Castle (the hat and feather), ahhh I'm tempted to say that My Neigbour Totoro (the umbrella and small totoro) and lastly I'm really not sure. I want to say the cat movie but I don't know what its actually called. How did I do? :D
